SEF Summer CAMP
Our Holiday Summer Camp for Young Teenagers is more than just a getaway—it's a transformative experience. Held annually, the camp brings together teenagers from diverse backgrounds, providing them with the opportunity to engage in educational activities, leadership training, and recreational pursuits.
Through workshops, mentorship sessions, and team-building exercises, participants develop essential life skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. This initiative aims to nurture well-rounded individuals prepared to take on future challenges and contribute positively to society.
Pad a Girl Campaign
Sapphital, in partnership with Kebbi State First Lady and iDreams , leads the Pad a Girl Campaign, a vital initiative addressing menstrual health and hygiene for young girls in Nigeria. By providing sanitary pads and educational resources, we aim to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and ensure that girls can attend school without interruption.
This campaign also includes workshops on reproductive health, empowering girls with knowledge and confidence. Our efforts in this area contribute to improved school attendance, better academic performance, and the overall well-being of young girls.
Corpers Acceleration Program
At Sapphital Empowerment Foundation, we believe in the potential of Nigeria’s youth to drive the nation forward. Our Corpers Acceleration Program is designed to harness this potential by providing NYSC corps members with the tools, training, and opportunities they need to excel in their careers and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
The Corpers Acceleration Program goes beyond theoretical knowledge by offering hands-on experience and real-world exposure. Our goal is to fast-track the careers of NYSC corps members by equipping them with in-demand skills and practical experience. Through our program, participants can:
● Enhance Employability: Stand out in the job market with a robust skill set and practical experience.● Pursue Entrepreneurship: Leverage their knowledge and tools to start their own businesses or ventures.● Contribute to Community Development: Use their skills to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
Nigerian Youth Academy
In recognition of the strategic importance and position of our youth in nation-building, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, through the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, has partnered with Sapphital to develop the first ever Official Digital Ecosystem for all Nigerian youth—a hub of inspiration, transformation, and limitless possibilities. NiYA offers learning, job opportunities, forums, marketplaces, talent shows, startup support, podcasts, and much more. Our strategic objectives:
● To Empower and Train 7 Million Youths within the next 2 Years● Generate 5 Million jobs within the next 4 years● Increase the Productive Capacity of Nigeria through its Youth● Make Nigerian youth more competitve, locally and internationallySapphital Empowerment Foundation is at the forefront of this partnership, providing critical expertise in online learning platforms and educational technology.
TechAdvantage Nigeria
In line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Hon. Minister for Innovation, Science, and Technology has partnered with Sapphital Empowerment Foundation to develop a platform, TechAdvantage Nigeria, that leverages the knowledge and experience of our computer village model as well as the renowned apprenticeship system and scales it across the country to create millions of jobs and wealth for all those within the ecosystem. Our focus is: Job Creation, Boosting the Nigerian Economy, Foreign Exchange Earning and Retain and Re-invest.
Recent projects
Khadija
Khadija is a young woman from Minna, Niger State, she is a chef that has always dreamed of pursuing a career in technology but lacked the resources and opportunities. Through SEF’s digital literacy program in partnership with NiYA, she gained essential tech and Mobile App design courses . Today, Maryam is a Mobile App Developer working with a tech startup, mentoring other young women in her community, and inspiring them to pursue careers in STEM.
Obinna
Obinna, an aspiring filmmaker from Enugu, struggled to find opportunities to showcase his talent. SEF and Starsapphire Media video production training program provided him with training in digital media and filmmaking. With the foundation’s support, Chinedu produced a short film highlighting social issues in his community and continues to produce content aimed at driving social change
Jay
Jay is a cocoa farmer from Nigeria, she is passionate about improving the lives of cocoa farmers in her community by connecting them to a wider market. Through the combined efforts of SEF's SME development initiatives and the Cocoa Connect Africa platform, she received training in business management, export strategies, and how to navigate the international cocoa trade as well as connect with other cocoa farmers across Africa.
Rita
Rita, a school teacher in Enugu, who witnessed firsthand the barriers to education faced by children, especially girls. Through SEF’s teacher training workshops, she learned innovative teaching methods and digital tools like Canva to enhance classroom learning. With SEF's support, Rita was able to maximize her efforts to improve student engagement and performance. She advocates for girls' education, ensuring more girls stay in school and achieve their academic goals.
Adeola
Adeola, a small business owner in Ondo State, faced challenges in scaling her business. She participated in NiYA & SEF 's SME development program, which provided her with business development training and access to a network of mentors. With this support, Adeola expanded her business, created jobs for local youths, and became a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs in her community.
Ahmed
Ahmed, from Maiduguri, Borno State, faced numerous challenges due to the insurgency in the region. Determined to create a better future, he joined SME Digital Academy. With training in business management and access to a vast community, Ahmed started a small agricultural business. His enterprise now employs several youths and provides affordable food products to his community, contributing to economic stability in the region.
